TIMATIM SELATA (TOMATO SALAD) ETHIOPIAN
Small Appetizer Plate (double ingredients for more)
Iceberg Lettuce Stuffed with Tomatoes, Jalapeno Peppers (or Green Pepper) and Red Onions
Serves 4 to 6
Ingredients:
1 Large Leaf - Fresh Iceberg Lettuce
1 Ripe Vine Tomato (Medium) - Chopped
1/2 Small Finely Chopped Red Onion
1/2 Mild Jalapeno or 1/3 Green OR Yellow OR Red Pepper Finely Chopped
1 tbsp. Fresh Lemon Juice Squeezed
1 tbsp. Olive Oil
Dash Salt & Fresh Ground Pepper
½ teaspoon Saba’s Awaze Sauce “Original” or “Truffle”
Place Iceberg Lettuce on Serving Platter
Mix Tomatoes, Onions, Pepper, Lemon Juice, Olive Oil, Salt Pepper and Saba’s Awaze Sauce
Stuff each leaf with mixture serve with crackers, bread or Injera (Ethiopian Bread) Enjoy!
